Corey is a Manager in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) for the Boston Red Sox Organization. He is also a former professional baseball infielder and outfielder. Corey spent 12 seasons playing in the minors, including four seasons at the Triple-A level before retiring after the 2016 season. He also played in the Mexican league where he learned to speak fluent Spanish.


College Career

Corey attended Alcorn State University in Mississippi, where he played college baseball for the Braves. As a freshman in 2004, Corey earned multiple honors.

Minor League Career

Corey was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the sixth round of the 2005 MLB Draft. Overall, in 12 Minor League seasons, Corey batted .289 with 12 home runs and 253 RBIs in 820 games. He played games at all infield positions except first base and at all outfield positions. He stole over 50 bases in a season three times. Corey finished his playing career with Leones De Yucatan of the Mexican League during the 2015-2016 seasons, batting .340 and .338, respectively.

Corey is married to Britany Wimberly. He has four children (2 boys and 2 girls) Nari, Caden, Chloe and Cassius.
