Stephen Farris

Pitching Intructor

High School

Stephen played baseball at Jeff Davis High School in Hazlehurst, Georgia. In 2008, he was named All Region Honorable Mention Shortstop. In his Junior year, he was awarded Best Pitcher and First Team All- Region Most Valuable Player. In 2011, Stephen was chosen First Team All- Region, and he also received The Pride of the Jackets Award for his team leadership.


Stephen started his college career at Darton College in Albany, Georgia (2012-2013). He continued playing baseball at East Georgia College in Swainsboro, Georgia (2013-2014). At East Georgia, he was awarded All Conference Honorable Mention Pitcher. Stephen completed his collegiate career pitching for the Brewton Parker College Barons in Mount Vernon, Georgia. 


Coach Farris received extensive training from many instructors. In high school, Stephen worked with Brian Mallette, who pitched for the Milwaukee Brewers. Stephen received his collegiate instruction from Travis Devine, who pitched for the San Diego Padres. Stephen also had the opportunity to work with legendary pitching coach, Tom House. 

Stephen's approach to coaching involves working with the mental aspect of coaching as well as the physical. He motivates his players with encouragement, motivation, and a positive attitude. His ultimate goal is to help athletes reach their full potential.
